HOW SHE GOT OUT OF AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF HER STRATEGY?

Culled from: http://efemenaoreoluwa.blogspot.com/

PLEASE READ AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS:

She has been suffering all manner of physical abuse and psychological abuse since getting married 4 years ago. Of course, the once loving, dark knight in shining Armour suddenly became a monster.... not necessarily over night. For 3 years, she took these ill treatments, silent-slaps, kicks at the slightest provocation. Then this fateful day after taking all the beating as usual, she called her elder sister, she could hardly talk on the phone. Sensing something terrible may be happening to her kid sister, the elder sister rushed down all the way from Dolphin to Isheri, Magodo to ascertain what the matter was. What did she see? Black eye from previous beatings, bruises, belt-marks, and fallen strands from her braids, all signs from the previous beating.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF RAPE - FROM PROJECT ALERT

Some days ago, I read this publication by Project Alert on Linda Ikeji’s blog and I decided to share it here because I feel this will help women take the right steps when they find themselves in such situation.

Read the article below………

“My friend just got raped by her tutorial coach, what do we do?”

“I was raped by my neighbor, I told my mother but she refused to believe me. What do I do?”

“My daughter was raped so I shaved her hair and beat her up so that it won’t repeat itself and no rapist will be attracted to her”

SPEAKING OUT !!!!!!

Every time I surf through the internet, listen to the news or read a newspaper there is always something about a woman who has been abused sexually or domestically. Recording a rape incidence by the rapist and uploading on social media is fast becoming a norm in Nigeria, and the most painful part is the rights of women who are mostly the victims of abuse are not protected.
